Pod(s)
I don't tend to make drawings like this one anymore, but it makes me happy. I love that burnished china marker and soft edges. A little bit of paraffin never goes amiss.

When the snake molts everybody wins
One of the things I discovered: I love the scraps left over from cutting out an object, sometimes more than the object (in this case, the snake in the first image). Had way more fun making the second piece with its "shed skin" landscape.

Ink drawings Post 1
I love keeping it simple, drawing what I see, or what I think I see.
Found this oyster shell on the beach. It was a sunny warm day in December and I went out there to soak up some vitamin D. And draw. And not think too hard about it.

New notebooks
Lately I've been making collages out of old National Geographic and Red Bulletin magazines (they both have great texture and color). Note that word: COLOR.
I love how a vey little color can go a long long way.
I'm either a schoolgirl with blunt scissors and a glue stick, or Matisse in his later years. Ha.
Since I've decided to post again, I'll alternate collage with recent ballpoint pen drawings ... a meditation that continues to work for me.
All pieces are about 8 inches square. I'm digging the intimacy between small work and the viewer. And, as usual, I can take it anywhere.
