Woman who work to much,
draw too little,
bore friends
and self.
I wouldn't keep uploading these grid pieces... (if you're new to the site, there will be 60 in all, making a large drawing of a stand of live oak trees on the Chesapeake Bay) if I had anything else. Why is it that when I have no time for making art I have 8,000 ideas for making art?

Chapter 3
It's been a long work week and today I could finally spend the time to finish this, the third drawing in the series. Pieces that I thought would average about and hour now approach 5 hours. Yikes.
But I loved hanging out in the studio today, catching the mourning doves out of the corner of my eye, pecking at the damp ground for breakfast.
Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley and Damien Rice in the background. A Nor'easter howling outside. The Bay is frenzied and there is no beach right now for walking. If I was out there I'd be leaning into the wind like these oak trees lean away from it.
My meditation lessons continue.
