Today's progress on the big wing... less than I'd hoped for, but figuring out how to do it is everything. Hal is interested in how realistic it is, but it's early days. This is the top 20 inches or sol Spent the afternoon working in the yard, pulling huge red honeysuckle vines out of my live oak trees... such a lovely day. Topped it off with beer and Italian sausage at Harbor Park (Tides over the Durham Bulls 2-0). I love Spring.
Janet, you totally inspire me. My favorite so far is the drawing under the label "Exercise." You've brought "it" to life, whatever "it" might be. I don't even care. I feel "there," yet don't know that that "there" really is. I'm taking the book you made to bed with me tonight and am going to draw. But ... I remain intimidated. By what, I don't know. Thanks for the inspiration, though. I love what you're doing.
Greetings and thanks for visiting. I've decided to post my drawings and writings about drawing. Mostly so I can get a feel for the ideas that keep surfacing and how they grow and change over time. Please check in often and let me know what you're thinking.
I live in coastal Virginia and have an MFA from Burren College of Art/NUI Galway in IRELAND. Cheers.
